Job summary

enGen seeks a vision-driven Principal Software Engineer to build scalable public-facing digital member experiences across mobile and web channels. You will own end-to-end architecture—from client experiences and API gateways to backend services, data stores, and event pipelines—ensuring security, performance and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, drive ADRs and architecture reviews, and collaborate with security teams and stakeholders to align technical decisions with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of technical and business problems ensuring scalability, performance, maintainability, security, and robustness
• Generate and explore technical solutions to achieve product features while monitoring progress against the plan
• Explore new technologies and architectural concepts to keep products cutting-edge
• Participate in high-level development estimations to support roadmap execution
• Present solutions to drive technical direction to team and management
• Mentor and provide leadership to other engineers
• Other duties as assigned or requested
