The Atlantic District in Manassas, VA is seeking a Principal Insurance Agent to lead growth, operations, and client service for our Farmers agency. You will build a local book of business by connecting with families and business owners, while delivering personal and commercial coverage solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in insurance sales or account management, a Virginia P&C license, and a passion for serving the Manassas community.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in insurance sales or account management.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and personal lines coverage.
• Excellent ability to negotiate and explain complex policy details clearly.
• Proficiency in using agency management systems and digital lead tracking tools.
• Deep roots or a strong desire to serve the Manassas local community.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a book of business by connecting with local families and business owners.
• Analyze current market trends to ensure clients receive the best possible value.
• Act as a primary point of contact for resolving policy questions and complex claims issues.
• Host community events and meetings to represent The Atlantic District and build lasting local partnerships.
• Mentor junior staff to ensure the office maintains high accuracy and care.
• Identify unique risks for clients and propose comprehensive solutions that offer peace of mind.
