Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal Hardware Design Engineer in Massachusetts to design mixed-signal hardware for radar receiver, exciter, and transmitter subsystems. You will collaborate across disciplines, perform electrical analysis, develop tests, and support production transitions.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and the ability to obtain/maintain US security clearance, with on-site work in MA and occasional travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Experience in two or more areas: digital design, RF/analog, production testing.
• Experience with design tools and analytical software.

Responsibilities

• Design and model circuit card assemblies and subsystems.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
• Translate requirements to production-ready hardware and provide support.
• Lead small design teams or projects and manage cost/schedule implications.
• Travel to MA sites and supplier/customer locations as needed.
