Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal RF Design Engineer in Massachusetts to lead RF/microwave system design for radar receiver/exciter projects. The role emphasizes architecture development, hardware design, and hands-on testing in a fast-paced team environment.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams and support production, with a focus on cost, schedule, and performance. On-site duties cover Tewksbury or Marlborough locations with MA travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
• The ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Architecture development, requirements analysis, hardware design, hands-on testing of components, circuit card assemblies, and subsystems.
• Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.
• Design and optimization of RF circuits - either chains of components or individual parts.
• Working with interdisciplinary teams - power, digital, mechanical, etc.
• Schematic capture and RF routing.
• Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities.
• Cost and schedule management plus proposal writing.
• This 1st shift position will be 100% on-site; based in either Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA, with travel between multiple MA sites anticipated.
