Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer in Massachusetts to develop DSP algorithms and FPGA-based interfaces for radar systems. The role focuses on designing, coding, and verifying FPGA solutions, with collaboration across hardware, software, and systems teams.

Applicants should have strong DSP experience in FPGAs, VHDL/Verilog, Matlab, and experience with high-speed interfaces. Onsite work in MA with potential relocation, and a DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing DSP functions in FPGAs using VHDL/Verilog and VHDL simulation tools.
• Experience designing filters in Matlab.
• Experience with high speed interfaces such as 100 GbE, PCIe, DDR.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA-based designs and translate system requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Design and code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
• Verify designs with directed/constrained random tests and document verification plans.
• Create documentation including requirements and user guides.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.
