RTX Corporation in Tewksbury, MA is seeking a Principal level Electrical Engineer to lead FPGA-based radar signal processing and control designs. You will translate system requirements into FPGA specs, architect FPGA systems, and guide a team from concept through production, with DoD security clearance ongoing.

This is an onsite role in the Assabet Building networked with hardware, software, and systems teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with digital design and VHDL/Verilog coding.
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Actel/Microsemi FPGA devices.

Responsibilities

• Own or contribute to FPGA-based designs, on time and on budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Design and deliver production-quality FPGA releases from concept to production.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements and conops.
• Create documentation including requirements, verification plan, and user guides.
• Verify designs using self-checking tests and constrained random testing.
• Work with systems, hardware, software engineers and program management for success.
