Job summary

The Atlantic District in York, Pennsylvania seeks a Principal General Agent to lead our York office. You will oversee daily operations, mentor a team of agents, and build strong relationships with local business leaders to expand our reach and deliver exceptional service.

Ideal candidates bring five+ years in insurance sales and agency leadership, valid P&C and Life & Health licenses, and a proven ability to drive profitability, public speaking, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in insurance sales and agency leadership.
• Valid Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses.
• Deep understanding of the York, PA market and surrounding local business landscape.
• Strong track record of developing and mentoring high-performing sales professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to manage an agency P&L and drive long-term profitability.
• Excellent public speaking and community networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of our York office to ensure consistent service standards.
• Mentor and guide a team of agents, helping them hone their craft and reach their personal sales goals.
• Cultivate relationships with local business owners and community leaders to expand our reach.
• Analyze sales performance data to identify growth opportunities and adjust regional strategies accordingly.
• Represent The Atlantic District at industry events and local civic gatherings.
• Develop and implement initiatives that keep our office culture vibrant, inclusive, and focused on our mission.
