Job summary

Vantage Data Centers LLC seeks a driven Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the electrical design of current and future data center projects. The role oversees design decisions, ensures compliance with codes and contracts, and guides a team across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate with sales, operations, and facilities, providing technical leadership and strategic direction while balancing budget, schedule, and performance.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years in engineering management or leadership roles.
• Requires 15+ years in electrical design and construction; 20+ years preferred.
• Data Center experience is required.
• Strong communication skills with executive stakeholders.
• Experience leading multi-project engineering workloads in fast-paced environments.
• Deep knowledge of electrical distribution, substations, UPS, generators, switchgear, grounding, and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive design and engineering decisions to conclusion, balancing technical, budget, and business priorities.
• Oversee inputs and deliverables to ensure spaces meet all requirements (codes, leases, specs).
• Coordinate with site operations to define project requirements and design criteria.
• Support sales and marketing with technical input and client interface.
• Manage a multi-project engineering workload in a high-growth setting.
• Lead and develop electrical engineering teams and foster continuous improvement.
