Job summary

The Atlantic District in Bowie, MD seeks a motivated insurance professional to run a Farmers agency as Principal Agent, guiding growth, operations, and client service for the local community.

You will build a team, expand commercial and personal lines, and nurture carrier relationships while delivering peace of mind to families and businesses in the area.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses.
• Minimum of five years in insurance sales or agency leadership.
• Deep understanding of commercial and personal lines coverage.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute local business growth strategies.
• Strong comfort level with digital policy management systems and agency metrics.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day sales operations and strategic growth of The Atlantic District office in Bowie.
• Mentor and guide a small team of licensed staff to reach their professional potential and agency goals.
• Identify and secure new commercial and personal lines accounts through local networking and community engagement.
• Review existing policy portfolios to ensure clients have adequate protection that aligns with their current life circumstances.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurance carrier representatives to ensure competitive pricing and broad product access for clients.
• Represent The Atlantic District at community events and local business forums to strengthen our brand presence in the region.
