Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Manager, Financial Pricing to fuse strategic finance with pricing strategy and commercial decision support. You will guide pricing decisions, forecast profitability, and strengthen margins through analytical insight and process improvements.

Lead a team of analysts, partner with Sales and Operations, and develop pricing guidelines and tools. Strong Excel modeling, BI proficiency, and effective communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• 6+ years in progressive experience in finance, pricing, or analytical roles.
• 3+ years supporting complex pricing, deal evaluation, and contract economics.
• 4+ years partnering with sales and operations leadership.
• 3+ years developing financial or pricing models in Excel or similar tools.
• Pricing strategy, deal economics, and margin management.
• Financial planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
• Understanding incentive compensation and commission structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop analysts and team members with performance feedback.
• Act as a financial advisor to sales leaders, pricing strategy, and business trade-offs.
• Lead ad hoc improvement projects and process optimization.
• Provide analytical and financial support for pricing including deal structuring and margin evaluation.
• Provide commissions calculations, sales analytics, and performance reporting.
• Disseminate pricing guidelines, tools, and strategies to Sales and Operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on pricing, pay structures, and incentives.
• Train field and sales teams on pricing methodology and variances vs. forecast.
• Develop pricing and financial models for evaluations and scenarios.
• Advise on risk, cost controls, and business opportunities.
• Support monthly forecasting and annual planning related to pricing and profitability.
• Participate in deal strategy discussions to establish margin requirements.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.
