Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support preoperative and postoperative care. You will assess patients, manage recovery from anesthesia, monitor physiologic parameters, and ensure safe transfer and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are required or within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological and hemodynamic status.
• Interpret information from monitors and apply discharge criteria for transfer.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates with accurate condition updates.
• Document nursing care completely and maintain patient safety and privacy.
