Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp/PACU to support perioperative care across our facilities in the United States. You will assess preoperative and postoperative status, manage anesthesia recovery, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality, patient-centered care.

The role requires current RN licensure, at least one year in PreOp or PACU, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS as applicable).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement plan including recovery from anesthesia across various modalities.
• Communicate patient status and provide pain management as needed.
• Provide hand-off reports to team with accurate, concise information.
• Document nursing care completely and maintain patient privacy.
