Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Manager who serves as the owner's representative during the preconstruction phase, overseeing cross-functional industrial projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution across the region.

You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to define scope, budget, and schedule, manage KPIs and risk, and coordinate with Design Engineering, entitlements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in architect/engineer/construction management roles.
• Experience managing industrial preconstruction projects with cross-functional teams.
• Must be able to travel up to 60% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution
• Lead site selection, scope development, and design management in line with Amazon standards
• Manage multiple large projects across locations and ensure on-time delivery
• Develop budgets, schedules, and perform conceptual estimating
• Coordinate with AHJ for permitting and regulatory compliance
• Mentor and coordinate vendors and internal teams
