Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Preconstruction Manager within Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Design & Construction. You will act as owner's representative, leading cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Architect/Engineering/Construction management or related PM roles.
• Experience with packaging, processing or logistical facilities and complex equipment.
• Travel up to 60% nationwide; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance across project teams.
• Interface with AHJ to secure permits and approvals throughout planning and preconstruction.
• Independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design, permitting and contracts.
• Lead site selection, scope development, and design management per Amazon standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across locations and accelerate decisions to remove blockers.
• Identify upstream issues and support construction teams through handover and lifecycle.
• Assess KPI performance for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
