Job summary

Amazon’s Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team seeks a Construction Manager to act as the owner’s representative in delivering built facilities and infrastructure for the logistics network. You will manage the full construction lifecycle—from design review to handover—for new builds, retrofits, expansions, and programs in your region.

Travel up to 60% is required; relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in Architect/Engineer/Construction Manager roles or related construction discipline.
• 5+ years of project management spanning design through handover.
• 5+ years' experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts.
• 5+ years' proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM, plus scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project).
• Travel up to 60% and valid driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Amazon's owner's representative and primary construction integrator across projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design to handover and operation.
• Review budgets, schedules, and bid packages; resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management.
• Negotiate contracts with developers and general contractors.
• Audit contractor performance to meet project requirements and schedules.
• Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction for permitting and compliance.
• Ensure conformance to Amazon's building specs and design standards.
• Coach project teams and maintain safety-first culture.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive value engineering with internal partners and ensure sustainability.
