RWJBarnabas Health seeks an experienced Practice Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a physician practice within the Barnabas Health Medical Group in Jersey City, NJ. The role emphasizes leadership of staff, optimization of patient flow, and alignment with Medical Group standards.

You will partner with physicians and regional leadership to drive operational excellence, improve patient experience, and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of management experience within a primary care or specialty practice setting.
• Demonstrated experience with healthcare fiscal management.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in employee development, conflict resolution, and team management.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and related healthcare software applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily practice operations, including staffing, scheduling, patient flow, deposits, and admin processes.
• Lead, coach, and support staff to promote accountability and development.
• Partner with physicians and regional leadership to identify needs and implement solutions.
• Monitor staffing levels and adjust resources to meet demands.
• Support budget development and monitor practice expenses.
• Evaluate workflows and implement best practices to improve efficiency and patient experience.
• Monitor quality and patient experience metrics and drive improvements.
• Ensure operations comply with policies, procedures, and healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with Medical Group departments for cost-effective operations.
• Address employee and operational concerns with sound judgment.
