Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to provide operational leadership across multiple practice locations in Hudson and Essex Counties. You will oversee daily business and clinical operations while aligning with regional and organizational goals and ensuring a safe, compassionate, and efficient patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in Healthcare Administration preferred; experience may substitute for education
• 3-5 years of experience in group practice management across multiple locations
• Experience with Surgical and Medical Specialty Practices
• Knowledge of healthcare financial management, medical practice accounting, third-party reimbursement, patient flow, and facilities management
• Understanding of physician compensation models and contract terminology
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel throughout Hudson and Essex Counties
• Clinical capacity experience and academic medical group experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily business and clinical operations of multiple practice locations, including front desk, medical records, nursing, and ancillary services
• Partner with the Regional Director to support efficient operations and achieve regional and organizational goals
• Support onboarding of acquired practices and communicate findings to stakeholders
• Develop strategic, tactical, and operational plans and budgets for assigned practices
• Review management and financial reporting to monitor performance and identify efficiency gains
• Identify operating costs and capital needs with providers and office managers
• Complete ROI analyses and prepare business justifications for regional leadership
• Review monthly budgets for cost-saving opportunities
• Initiate operational improvements and communicate recommendations to leadership
• Coordinate staffing across multiple locations to maintain coverage
• Establish monthly schedules for providers and staff
• Monitor scheduling, practice revenue, staff competencies, and training needs
• Partner with HR on payroll, orientation, policies, and workforce matters
• Oversee payroll and compliance with policies
• Manage employee performance and evaluations in partnership with HR
• Conduct regular staff meetings across practices
• Identify opportunities to improve patient, provider, and employee engagement
• Ensure quality measures are implemented and compliant across practices
• Track quality deficiencies and work with Director of Quality on compliance
• Support patient acquisition initiatives and identify opportunities to increase volume
• Ensure practices remain compliant with applicable policies, laws, and regulations
