Job summary

New Jersey Urology | Central & South Regions is seeking a Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of its ambulatory locations. You will partner with physicians and administrators to ensure efficient patient flow, high-quality care, and a positive workplace culture.

The role oversees staffing, scheduling, revenue and expenses, and compliance while leveraging data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Strong leadership and healthcare operations experience are essential.

  • Leads staffing, scheduling and deployment of resources based on patient volumes and provider schedules.
  • Promotes accountability, collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement across the practice.

Role Description: The Practice Manager is the operational leader responsible for the overall performance of assigned New Jersey Urology (NJU) practice location(s). The Practice Manager leads both clinical and non-clinical staff and works in close partnership with physicians, advanced practice providers, and organizational leadership to deliver an exceptional patient experience, improve access to care, create a highly engaged workplace, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care.

The Practice Manager has accountability for the operational and financial performance of the practice, including staffing, productivity, patient access, workflow optimization, revenue and expense management, regulatory compliance, and achievement of organizational goals.

Successful Practice Managers are visible, hands-on leaders who understand their business, use data to identify opportunities, engage physicians and associates in solutions, and take ownership for results.

Role purpose: The Practice Manager is the operational leader for assigned NJU practice location(s), accountable for safe, high-quality care, patient experience, staff engagement, access, and overall performance.Provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight for assigned practice locations.Lead both clinical and non-clinical associates and establish clear expectations for performance, accountability, teamwork and service.Ensure adequate staffing and appropriate deployment of resources based on patient volumes, provider schedules, and operational needs.

Core responsibilities: Oversees daily practice operations, staffing, workflows, resources, patient flow, and coordination across front-office, clinical, scheduling, and provider teams.

Key partnerships: Serves as the primary operational partner to physicians and providers, helping improve efficiency, access, growth, communication, and problem resolution.

Performance ownership: Owns financial and business results, including P&L, budgets, revenue, productivity, labor costs, controllable expenses, and front-end revenue cycle processes. Understands practice revenue, expenses, staffing costs, productivity, volumes and other key financial and operational drivers.

People leadership: Recruits, develops, coaches, evaluates, and retains clinical and non-clinical associates while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Evaluates and manages performance of associates and identify opportunities for professional growth.Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration inclusion and continuous improvement.

Key Areas of Accountability: Ensures patient access by managing appointment availability, scheduling utilization, patient throughput, no-shows/cancellations and other access measures. Monitors patient feedback, manages complaints, provides service recovery and is patient centered.Responsible for managing financial performance against the budget, and practice P&L.Tracks revenue and volume performance, labor management, and controllable expenses.

Quality and compliance: Ensures the practice remains survey-ready, compliant with policies and regulations, and focused on patient safety, privacy, infection prevention, and corrective action when needed.

Ideal candidate: Has progressive healthcare operations leadership experience, strong ambulatory practice knowledge, financial and data-driven decision-making skills, and the ability to lead teams and partner effectively with physicians.
