Henderson Engineers, Inc. in the United States seeks a Practice Director to lead profitability, client experience, and growth across our engineering practice.

You will align sector leadership, manage budgets, and supervise practice managers to deliver high-quality project work. With 10+ years of leadership in engineering or manufacturing, you will mentor teams, foster an inclusive culture, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance client satisfaction and industry presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction mgmt, science, technology, marketing, or business.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in leadership/management.
• Experience in Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing.
• History of building strong teams to improve the client experience.
• Proven track record engaging with clients and maintaining relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable results based on client satisfaction.
• Demonstrated understanding and participation in professional networks in the AEC industry.

Responsibilities

• Develops the annual budget for the practice, tracks revenue margins and maximizes profits.
• Evaluates practice performance and provides reports on sector results.
• Oversees employee relations and personnel actions within the practice.
• Fosters an engaged, dynamic employee culture and leads company-wide events.
• Identifies opportunities and gaps in staff development and responds accordingly.
• Aligns production staff with sector leadership and practice goals.
• Maintains national-level client knowledge and builds client relationships across locations.
• Mentors project staff on client expectations and service standards.
• Collaborates with marketing to generate proposals and determine profitable fees.
• Leads process improvements to ensure consistent project delivery.
