Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer to lead power distribution and hardware development for its material handling systems. You will drive standards, safety, and scalability across global fulfillment centers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
4+ years of experience in power systems design and hardware development.
Experience with large-scale electrical and power systems in material handling environments.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and electrical schematics.
Experience with arc flash calculations per IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E.

Responsibilities

Design, engineer, and optimize 3-phase power systems for material handling applications.
Specify MDBs, PDPs, substations, transformers, switchgear, and panel schedules.
Perform arc flash and load calculations to ensure safety and reliability.
Develop single-line diagrams and power distribution schematics.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure constructible designs and standards compliance.
Prepare A/E drawing sets and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
