Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Power & Hardware Design Engineer to act as a technical authority for power systems within its OneMHS program, driving standardization and innovation of power distribution and hardware for material handling operations.

The ideal candidate will design 3-phase power networks, perform arc flash studies, develop MDBs/PDPs, and collaborate with WWDE, Operations Engineering, vendors, and cross‑functional teams to ensure safety, reliability, and scalable system

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent required.
4+ years of power systems design and hardware development experience.
Proven expertise in 3-phase power design and power distribution.
Experience with arc flash calculations and NEC/NFPA compliance.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk tools.

Responsibilities

Design, engineer, and optimize 3-phase power systems and distribution for material handling.
Develop MDBs, PDPs, and electrical substations with proper sizing and protection.
Perform arc flash studies, labeling, and hazard analysis per IEEE 1584 / NFPA 70E.
Create drawings sets, panel schedules, and electrical plans for site facilities.
Lead standards development and collaboration with WWDE, Operations, and vendors.
Drive hardware development from prototype to production readiness.
