Job summary

H.O. Penn Machinery in Newington, CT is seeking a Field Service Coordinator – Power Systems to organize and dispatch field crews, coordinate service calls, and ensure timely completion of work orders.

The role requires 2+ years in field service coordination, experience in mechanical/electrical or power generation environments, strong organizational and communication skills, and a valid driver’s license. On-call rotation included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience coordinating labor schedules, dispatching field service personnel, or managing service operations.
• Experience in a technical service environment including mechanical, electrical, diesel, power generation, or related industries preferred.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize, schedule, and coordinate multiple activities.
• Proficiency with computer systems, service management software, and MS Office; ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a strong customer service focus.
• Clean and valid driver's license; on-call rotation participation required (evenings/weekends/holidays).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage work schedule for internal and external technicians.
• Maximize technician utilization by effectively scheduling, planning, and assigning work.
• Coordinate resources required for technicians, including parts and tooling.
• Assist Service Manager in overseeing technician performance and invoicing.
