Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Program Manager to lead planning and execution of power infrastructure programs for clients, collaborating with HDR staff and subconsultants to ensure high-quality outcomes. The role requires coordinating technical and regulatory aspects, managing risks, and delivering results across multiple locations in the United States.

You will work with a diverse team to guide strategy, governance, and delivery, while maintaining a focus on client interests and HDR’s values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Professional Engineers License and/or PMP Certification.
• Experience implementing PMIS (Project Management Information System) such as E-Builder, ProCore, Kahua, Oracle Primavera, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver T&D, power generation, renewable energy projects.
• Serve as primary client contact regarding scope, contract management, program performance, and staffing.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, strategic planning, and delivery strategies for power programs.
• Direct and manage HDR staff and subconsultants across engineering, controls, routing, environmental, real estate, communications, data management.
• Assess staffing needs and ensure resources align with contract scope and QA/QC standards.
• Facilitate risk workshops and develop risk management plans with internal risk professionals.
• Develop and implement program management plans, processes, and tools to drive efficiency and accountability.
• Monitor scope, schedule and budget with project controls; adjust to meet budgets and avoid losses.
• Prepare monthly program reports and dashboards for internal and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business development to identify growth opportunities and support proposals.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field
