Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Program Manager to lead planning and execution of programs and projects for power clients. You will guide a diverse team of professionals and act as a trusted advisor to the client’s leadership, ensuring effective governance and delivery of infrastructure initiatives.

The role requires coordinating with HDR staff and subconsultants, managing scope, schedule, and budget, and promoting accountability and transparency. Travel about 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Professional Engineers License and/or PMP Certification.
• Experience implementing PMIS (Project Management Information System) such as E-Builder, ProCore, Kahua, Oracle Primavera, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver T&D, power generation, renewable energy projects as defined by clients.
• Serve as primary client contact for scope, contract management, program performance, and staffing.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, strategic planning, delivery strategies and costs.
• Direct and manage services provided by HDR staff and subconsultants (engineering, project controls, routing and siting, environmental, real estate, data management).
• Assess staffing needs and secure resources; promote team alignment and QA/QC to meet client expectations.
• Facilitate risk workshops; provide risk management plans to clients.
• Develop and implement program management plans, processes, and tools to drive efficiencies and transparency.
• Monitor scope, schedule and budget with project controls; adjust to meet budget and avoid losses.
• Prepare monthly program reports or dashboards for internal and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business development to identify growth prospects; support proposals with approach, staffing, fees and schedule.
• Travel on average 25% of the time.
