Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Program Manager to lead the planning and execution of power infrastructure programs. You will direct diverse teams spanning engineering, controls, routing, environmental, and real estate to deliver projects for power clients.

The role requires strong leadership, client communication, and delivery strategy expertise, with travel about 25% as projects advance across multiple sites. HDR emphasizes ownership, inclusion, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of program management in a deputy role to the Program Manager for programs with capital value >= $200M, or 5+ years as PM/Project Manager for programs >= $200M, or 10+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams for at least two programs with capital value >= $50M.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver power infrastructure projects.
• Serve as primary client contact regarding scope, contract management, and program performance.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, and delivery strategies for power programs.
• Direct and manage HDR staff and subconsultants across engineering, project controls, routing/siting, and other functions.
• Assess staffing needs and secure resources to meet contract scope and QA/QC expectations.
• Facilitate risk workshops and develop risk management plans for clients.
• Develop program management plans and tools to drive efficiencies and transparency.
• Monitor scope, schedule and budget with project controls; adjust as needed.
• Prepare monthly program reports and dashboards for internal and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business development to identify growth prospects; support proposals.
