Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Program Manager to lead planning and execution of power infrastructure projects for our clients. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, advise on delivery strategies, and ensure governance and accountability across programs.

The role emphasizes client-focused leadership, robust QA/QC, and collaboration with HDR’s employee-owned culture. A strong background in engineering, project management, and PMIS is required, with significant travel expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Professional Engineers License and/or PMP Certification.
• Experience implementing PMIS (Project Management Information System) such as E-Builder, ProCore, Kahua, Oracle Primavera, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver T&D, power generation, renewable energy projects to achieve strategic outcomes defined by clients.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients regarding scope, contract management, program performance, work planning, staffing, etc.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, strategic planning, delivery strategies, financial aspects of power programs.
• Direct and manage the services provided by a program team including HDR staff and subconsultants across engineering, controls, routing, siting, environmental, real estate, and more.
• Assess staffing needs of programs and secure the resources required to deliver services, promote team alignment, and monitor QA/QC to meet client expectations.
• Facilitate risk workshops with clients and internal risk teams; provide risk management plans.
• Develop and implement program management plans, processes, and tools to drive efficiencies and transparency.
• Coordinate with project controls to monitor scope, schedule and budget against metrics and adjust to meet budget.
• Prepare monthly program reports or dashboards for internal and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business development to identify growth prospects and support proposals.
• Travel on average 25% of the time expected.
