Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Program Manager in the Tampa area to lead complex power infrastructure programs. You will guide a diverse team of engineers and non-technical professionals, serve as the primary client contact, and drive delivery strategies from scope through closeout.

You’ll advise on technical, regulatory, and strategic planning aspects, manage contract performance, and ensure QA/QC across projects while collaborating with HDR’s internal teams and external subconsultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Experience managing multi-project programs with large capital values.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to present to executives.
• Experience with alternative delivery methods (DB, PDB, CMAR).
• Familiar with PMIS, CMIS, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and dashboard analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver T&D, power generation, renewable energy projects.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients regarding scope, contract management, program performance, work planning, and staffing.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, strategic planning and delivery strategies.
• Direct and manage services provided by the program team including engineering, project controls, routing and siting, environmental, real estate, strategic communication, data management.
• Assess staffing needs and secure resources; promote alignment and implement a robust QA/QC program.
• Facilitate risk workshops with clients and subcontractors; develop risk management plans.
• Develop and implement program management plans, processes, and tools to drive efficiencies and accountability.
• Coordinate with project controls to monitor scope, schedule and budget against metrics; adjust as needed.
• Prepare monthly program reports or dashboards for internal and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business development to identify growth prospects; support proposals and bids.
• Travel on average 25% of the time.
