Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Program Manager to lead planning and execution of programs for our power clients in Newark, NJ. You will guide multidisciplinary teams and act as a trusted advisor to client leadership, overseeing scope, schedule, and budget with a focus on delivering strategic outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (Engineering/Construction Management or related) with several years of program management experience and familiarity with PMIS tools. Travel about 25% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years in a deputy role to a Program Manager for one or more programs, with cumulative capital value of $200 million or more.
• Minimum five (5) years as a Project Manager or Project Controls Manager for one or more programs, each with capital value of $200 million or more.
• Minimum ten (10) years as a Project Manager directing multi-disciplinary teams for at least two projects, each with capital value of $50 million or more.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver power projects across transmission, distribution, generation, and renewables.
• Serve as primary client contact on scope, contracts, performance, planning, staffing and related matters.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, strategic planning, delivery strategies and financial aspects.
• Develop program management plans, processes and tools to drive efficiency and accountability.
• Monitor scope, schedule and budget with project controls and adjust to meet metrics.
• Prepare monthly program reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time.
