Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Program Manager to lead planning and execution of power infrastructure programs for our clients. You will lead a diverse team of engineers and professionals, serve as the client’s trusted advisor, and drive governance, budgeting, and staffing decisions to ensure project success.

The role emphasizes collaboration, risk management, and delivering value across T&D, generation, and renewable energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Professional Engineers License and/or PMP Certification (preferred).
• Experience implementing PMIS (PMIS examples: E-Builder, ProCore, Kahua, Oracle Primavera).
• Strong leadership skills with experience building a cohesive team culture and managing teams across locations.
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting to client executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver T&D, power generation, renewable energy projects.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients regarding scope, contract management, program performance, and staffing.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, strategic planning, delivery strategies, and financial aspects of power programs.
• Direct and manage HDR staff and subconsultants including engineering, project controls, routing/siting, environmental, real estate, communication, data management.
• Assess staffing needs and secure resources to meet contract scope; promote team alignment and QA/QC.
• Facilitate risk workshops with clients and internal risk teams; develop risk management plans.
• Develop and implement program management plans, processes, and tools to drive efficiencies and transparency.
• Monitor scope, schedule and budget with project controls; adjust to meet budget and control losses.
• Prepare monthly program reports or dashboards for internal and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with BD team to identify growth prospects and support proposals.
• Travel on average 25% of the time.
