Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Program Manager to lead planning and execution of power infrastructure programs for global clients. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists, serve as the primary client contact, and drive governance, risk, and performance toward on-time, on-budget outcomes.

This role requires a strong background in engineering or construction management, PMP or PE credentials, and hands-on PMIS experience (E-Builder, Procore, Kahua, Primavera).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or closely related field.
• Master’s degree preferred; professional licensure or PMP certification is a plus.
• Minimum years of program/project management experience with large capital projects (as specified).
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills; ability to work across locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver T&D, power generation, renewable energy projects and achieve client outcomes.
• Serve as primary client contact for scope, contract management, and program performance.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, strategic, and financial aspects of power programs.
• Direct and manage HDR staff and subconsultants across engineering, controls, environment, real estate, and more.
• Assess staffing needs, secure resources, and ensure QA/QC meets client expectations.
• Facilitate risk workshops and develop risk management plans with clients.
• Develop program management plans, processes, and tools to drive efficiency and transparency.
• Monitor scope, schedule, and budget with project controls; adjust to meet budgets.
• Prepare monthly program reports and dashboards for internal and client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business development to identify growth prospects and support proposals.
