Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Program Manager to lead planning and execution of power infrastructure programs. The role requires directing a diverse team of technical and non‑technical professionals and serving as a trusted advisor on delivery strategies and governance.

Responsibilities include coordinating scope, schedule, budget, risk, and staffing, and collaborating with HDR staff and subcontractors to deliver high‑quality outcomes. Travel is expected ~25%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Program management experience meeting one of the following: minimum 3/5/10 years with capital values noted.
  • Experience with leading large, multidisciplinary teams across locations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver power/utility projects.
  • Serve as primary client contact on scope, contract, performance, and staffing.
  • Advise clients on delivery strategies, processes, and governance.
  • Direct and manage HDR staff and subcontractors across functions (engineering, controls, routing, environmental, real estate, analytics).
  • Develop program management plans and tools to drive efficiency and accountability.
  • Monitor scope, schedule, and budget with project controls; report health and progress.
