Job summary

NAES Corporation's Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical (IC&E) Technician position at Sandy Creek Energy Station in Texas maintains and calibrates plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role supports PLC, DCS, SCADA, and related systems, performs preventive and corrective maintenance, analyzes trends, and coordinates with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve efficiency and uptime.

Qualifications

Associate degree in a relevant technical field preferred; equivalent training considered.
Experience in power generation/heavy industry with instrumentation and controls.
Knowledge of plant electrical and instrumentation systems (switchgear, MCCs, motors, transformers).
Familiarity with PLC, DCS, SCADA, boiler control and emissions-control systems.

Responsibilities

Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, repair, and install plant instrumentation and field devices.
Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency electrical maintenance up to 13.8 kV.
Maintain PLC, DCS, SCADA, CEMS and other automation systems; diagnose faults.
Support boiler, turbine, and environmental control systems; manage outages and modifications.
Document maintenance activities in CMMS; track labor hours and calibration records.
