Job summary

NAES Hill Top Energy Center in Carmichaels, PA is a state-of-the-art combined-cycle facility. The IC&E Technician calibrates, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment to support GE 7HA.02 gas turbine and Alstom D652 steam turbine operations.

The role collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to improve reliability, minimize downtime, and optimize plant performance while following NAES safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred; relevant industrial or military experience considered.
Experience in combined-cycle power generation or comparable industrial environment.
Comprehensive understanding of plant electrical and instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

Calibrate, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and install plant instrumentation and control systems.
Perform maintenance on electrical equipment including switchgear, MCCs, motors, transformers, batteries and inverters.
Maintain and optimize PLC, DCS, SCADA, and other automation systems; diagnose faults and improve performance.
Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, wiring/loop/logic diagrams for troubleshooting.
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation supporting GE 7HA.02, HRSG and steam-cycle systems.
Support testing, commissioning, outages, and capital projects by coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, OEMs, and vendors.
