Job summary

NAES Corporation in Middletown, CT seeks an Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical (IC&E) Technician to maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment in a 620 MW combined-cycle power plant environment.

You will work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and vendors to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize plant performance while upholding safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training in electrical/instrumentation
• Experience with power plant instrumentation and control
• Knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA and turbine control systems

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and install plant instrumentation and control systems
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventive, predictive, and emergency electrical maintenance
• Maintain and optimize DCS, PLC, SCADA, and other automation systems
• Calibrate and troubleshoot Siemens SGT6-PAC 5000F turbine and SST6-PAC5000 steam turbine systems
• Support testing, commissioning, outages, and capital projects with coordination across teams
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements
• Maintain maintenance records, drawings, and calibration documentation
• Follow safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Perform other duties and technical assignments as needed
