Job summary

NAES Lead IC&E Technician at Tejas facility oversees instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems maintenance and optimization. You will mentor staff, coordinate outages, and work with OEMs to ensure reliability and performance of LM6000 and Siemens 501 D5 turbines.

The role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of plant controls, and a commitment to safety in a power generation environment.

Qualifications

An associate degree in Plant Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Process Technology, or related field; military or relevant experience may substitute.
Extensive electrical, instrumentation, or controls experience in power generation or industrial environment with technical leadership.
Advanced knowledge of high-voltage switchgear, MCCs, transformers, motors, batteries, inverters, chargers, generators, and excitation systems.
Strong knowledge of LM6000 and Siemens 501 D5 turbine controls, Allen-Bradley PLCs, AGC, emissions-control systems, and condition monitoring equipment.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical/instrumentation/control problems and lead preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance.
Experience supporting startup/shutdown/commissioning/outages and performance optimization.
Leadership and mentoring of technical personnel coordinating contractors/OEMs.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills to evaluate performance and drive improvements.
Must possess valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

Lead calibration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of plant instrumentation and controls.
Oversee preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and optimize Allen-Bradley PLCs and plant controls.
Lead maintenance of LM6000 and Siemens 501 D5 turbine controls and related systems.
Support plant testing, startup, commissioning, outages, and modifications.
Coordinate IC&E work with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, contractors, vendors, and OEMs.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IC&E personnel.
Direct equipment installations and modifications with safety and regulatory compliance.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and records.
