Job summary

Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Support Specialist for Power generation to act as a technical liaison among sales teams, customers, and operations across multiple U.S. locations.

You will provide product expertise, guide applications, and support pre- and post-sale activities to drive rental revenue and optimize equipment solutions for job sites. The role requires strong communication, field knowledge of power generation equipment, and collaboration with branch teams to ensure

Qualifications

• BA/BS University degree or GED.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of Power Generation, Batteries, and Load Bank equipment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Technical Sales Team and design departments.
• Gather technical jobsite information.
• Set up internal and external collaborative meetings.
• Conduct job walks/site visits (some travel).
• Collect site details from team members and visits.
• Help prepare bid proposal presentations.
• Prepare lists of required power generation equipment.
• Coordinate with local branch and sales reps.
• Ensure all equipment is ready before setup date.
• Write contracts to explain the proposed setup to clients.
• Coordinate and assist in building sales-focused training for the equipment vertical.
• Track TST projects for the assigned equipment vertical.
• Support all team members within the Power generation vertical.
• Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals safety culture.
