Job summary

Herc Rentals seeks a Technical Sales Support Specialist for Power generation to act as the technical liaison between sales, customers and operations. You will guide equipment selections, support quotes and ensure readiness for site setups across multiple US locations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Sales, Operations and branches, travel to job sites, and delivering accurate, technically sound proposals. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS University degree or GED required.
• A valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of Power Generation, Batteries, and Load Bank equipment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with Technical Sales Team and design departments.
• Gathering technical jobsite information.
• Setting up internal and external collaborative meetings.
• Conducting job walks/site visits (travel may be required).
• Gathering site details from team members and job visits.
• Helping prepare bid proposal presentations.
• Preparing lists of required power generation equipment.
• Coordinating with local branch and sales representatives.
• Ensuring all equipment is ready before the set-up date.
• Writing contracts to help clients understand the proposed setup.
• Coordinating and assisting in building sales-focused training for the assigned equipment vertical.
• Tracking TST projects for the assigned equipment vertical.
• Supporting all team members within the Power generation vertical.
• Participating in Herc Rentals' Safety Culture.
