Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead major utility infrastructure programs valued at $10M+. You will drive project execution from pursuit to closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction while delivering financial success.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure, strong commercial acumen, and a proven ability to build and lead teams in dynamic field environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; 7–10+ years of related experience.
Demonstrated success managing large-scale utility transmission, distribution, substation, or power delivery construction projects.
Experience leading projects valued at $10 million or greater; strong contract administration and change management knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead large-scale transmission, distribution, and substation projects from pursuit through final completion.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety performance, and profitability.
Directly supervise and mentor Associate Project Managers, Project Managers, and project staff.
Review contracts, plans, and bid documents to understand requirements and risks.
Coordinate estimating, proposals, and bid submissions; act as primary client contact.
