Job summary

Morton Buildings, Inc. seeks a Construction Service Crew Member to join a field team repairing and maintaining post-frame buildings. You will follow safety procedures, read plans, and perform tasks from doors and windows to roofing, siding, and footings.

The role requires physical stamina, 25% travel (overnight possible), and a willingness to work in varying weather. Earning $22–$24 per hour with bonuses and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Building construction (post-frame), carpentry or framing experience preferred
• Willingness to participate in and complete a training program
• A valid driver’s license is preferred
• Available to work 9-10 hours during peak construction season
• Ability to take direction
• Produce quality work in an efficient manner
• Agree to comply with all safety processes and procedures
• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
• Ability to operate specialized safety equipment efficiently and effectively
• Standard weight lifting requirements - 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
• Capable of working in a physically demanding environment and at various heights (up to 40 feet)
• Possess good communication skills
• This position requires 25% travel, including overnight travel possibly up to two weeks at a time

• Learn, keep current with and apply safety and construction procedures to every building
• Demonstrate the ability to read, understand and build according to construction plans
• Repair tasks including doors, roofing, windows, footings, framing, siding, and trims
• Operate construction hand tools safely and efficiently
• Adapt to a flexible schedule and weather conditions
• Work in a team, maintain a safe and productive environment
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve as needed
• Support material organization and daily planning
