Job summary

TRUNO Retail Technology Solutions is seeking a POS Field Service Technician to support customer sites in the Sacramento region. You will respond to service requests, troubleshoot and repair POS hardware, laser printers, scales, wrappers, and related network gear while maintaining accurate inventory and documentation.

You should have strong customer service, basic PC and hardware skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field (Preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of technology service experience (Preferred).
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office (Required).
• Practical experience with electronics/technology hardware (Preferred).
• CompTIA A+ Certification (Preferred).
• CompTIA Network+ Certification (Preferred).
• Industry-Specific Certifications (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service requests timely, update customers, and document all details.
• Interact with store personnel and Truno team in a positive, understandable manner.
• Maintain regular hours and after-hours availability when needed.
• Travel within a 150-mile radius with limited overnight travel.
• Troubleshoot, fault isolate, repair, and test in-store equipment.
• Use basic tools for assigned duties.
• Provide preventative maintenance on POS hardware and other devices.
• Configure software/hardware, installs and upgrades as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct; meet deadlines.
• Maintain company vehicle, equipment and records; protect assets.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment sold and supported in your territory.
• Perform other duties as needed.
