Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager in Middletown, RI to lead PORTS simulation-based training systems for the US Surface Navy. You will coordinate between the Program Manager, customer, and project team to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with DoD compliance.

Requirements include US citizenship with DoD Secret clearance, a STEM/management degree, and at least 5 years of PM experience overseeing software development projects. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products.
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
