Job summary

Applegreen, a network of travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest, is seeking a Plaza Director to oversee daily operations and drive profitability for a multi-million-dollar site along a major highway. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service while maintaining brand standards and food safety.

Responsibilities include steering sales, staffing, training, and performance, ensuring compliance with policies and laws, and collaborating with Brand Partners, HR, Loss

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven success in multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Ability to work a flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours/week including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; lift and carry at least 20 pounds.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to achieve or exceed targeted objectives around sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety standards.
• Monitor and analyze progress towards financial and performance objectives; implement strategic changes to maximize performance.
• Ensure each food/bev concept adheres to brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture with learning, information sharing and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams; manage staffing levels across the plaza.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, training, promotions, disciplinary actions, and transfers.
• Supervise plaza leadership to ensure goals are met and direct reports are managed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities & Maintenance.
