Applegreen is seeking a Plaza Director to oversee a multi-million-dollar travel plaza on a major highway. You will drive day-to-day operations, profitability, and exceptional guest experiences through a capable leadership team.

The role emphasizes sales growth, speed of service, brand compliance, and food safety. You’ll lead recruiting, coaching, and development while collaborating with internal partners to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in multi-unit or big-box leadership.
• Flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; lift at least 20 pounds.
• Occasional travel to support other locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to meet sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food quality & safety.
• Monitor progress toward objectives and implement strategic changes to maximize performance.
• Ensure each food/beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture and professional development.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong teams for plaza staffing.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, promotion, and disciplinary actions for plaza leadership.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, Facilities & Maintenance.
