Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Plaza Director to oversee daily operations and long‑term profitability of a multi‑million‑dollar travel plaza on a major highway. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, friendly service while achieving financial targets.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, brand standard adherence, cost control and collaboration with partners across HR, Finance and Operations. Flexible on-site work with a focus on people development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple units in fast-paced travel plaza or retail environments.
• Strong focus on cost control, quality standards and profitability.
• Proven ability to coach and develop leadership teams.
• Experience ensuring brand standards across multiple concepts.
• Ability to recruit, train and retain high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations to meet sales, service speed, customer satisfaction and food quality targets.
• Analyze progress toward financial and performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Ensure each food/bev concept adheres to brand standards.
• Foster an engaging culture with learning and accountability.
• Recruit, develop and retain strong plaza leadership teams.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, promotion and disciplinary actions for leaders.
• Supervise leaders to ensure goals are met and reports are managed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws; address inquiries professionally.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, Facilities & Maintenance.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with vendors and the community.
