Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services seeks a Plaza Director to lead day-to-day operations and long-term profitability for multiple travel plazas along a major highway. You will guide a dedicated team ensuring fast, friendly service and adherence to brand standards.

You will recruit, develop, and coach plaza leaders, manage staffing and budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain growth and customer satisfaction in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of multi-unit or large-format operations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong cost control and quality standards knowledge.
• Experience driving profitable growth and customer satisfaction.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and plaza leadership to meet objectives around sales, speed of service, customer satisfaction, brand standards and food quality.
• Monitor and analyze progress toward financial targets; implement changes to maximize performance and profitability.
• Ensure each food/beverage concept adheres to brand standards.
• Maintain an engaging work culture with ongoing learning and accountability.
• Recruit, develop and retain staffing across the plaza.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, training, promotion, and disciplinary actions for plaza leadership.
• Supervise plaza leadership to meet goals and manage direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws at the local, state and federal level.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance and Facilities & Maintenance.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors, partners and the community.
