Job summary

Ashby is seeking a curious, rigorous Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer to scale our infrastructure as we grow. You will own end-to-end projects, work on a homegrown DSL-to-SQL compiler, and help build a secure, reliable platform used by Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake.

You’ll balance reliability with velocity, write code as infrastructure, implement canary deployments, SLIs/SLOs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to push Ashby’s product to the moon and back.

Qualifications

• Experience engineering platform/infrastructure at scale.
• Ability to ship end-to-end features with minimal oversight.
• Strong focus on reliability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Improve homegrown DSL-to-SQL compiler and build tooling for developers.
• Create automated guardrails for data privacy and security.
• SupportCanary deployments, gradual rollouts, and feature flags to reduce downtime.
• Define SLOs and implement SLIs for platform reliability.
• Ensure external service interactions have retries and circuit-breakers.
• Build infrastructure to enable event-driven architecture and data warehouse.
