Job summary

Ashby is seeking a Platform Engineer to join a fast-growing engineering team. You will scale our infrastructure, own critical components end-to-end, and partner with product and security to deliver reliable, secure software.

We value curiosity, rigor, and a practical approach to engineering that emphasizes maintainable infrastructure. You will work on scalable DSL-to-SQL tooling, canary deployments, and data architecture while collaborating with a global, async team.

Qualifications

• Experience building platform infrastructure at scale.
• Comfort with databases, SQL, and data workflows.
• Ability to own end-to-end infrastructure projects and ship with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Optimize the homegrown DSL-to-SQL compiler and build tooling for developers.
• Create automated guardrails for security and data privacy of customers.
• Enable faster feature shipping with canary deployments, gradual rollouts and feature flags.
• Define and implement SLOs and corresponding SLIs for our services.
• Ensure robust retry and circuit-breaker behavior in external service calls.
• Build infrastructure to support event-driven architectures and data warehouses.
