Plasma Donor Screening Specialist

Job summary

CSL is seeking staff at a plasma collection center to greet donors, verify eligibility, and guide them through screening procedures. After training, you may educate donors on products derived from plasma and record data in the donor information system.

The role requires attention to safety protocols and confidentiality, with potential cross-training opportunities. Position is on-site with a base wage of $16.61–$18.13 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis
• Assist donors in completing screening per SOPs, including health history, medical questions, and necessary health screenings (blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature)
• Perform finger stick to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels
• May educate donors on use of therapeutic products from donated plasma after training
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information
