Job summary

CSL is seeking an on-site Donor Center Assistant to greet donors and guide them through registration and screening for plasma pheresis. After training, you may educate donors on products derived from plasma and help manage donor flow, appointments, and policies.

You will also answer inquiries, monitor donor safety, and maintain accurate electronic records while upholding strict confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability for plasma pheresis.
• Assist donors in completing the screening process according to SOPs, including health history, questions, referrals, and basic screening procedures.
• Perform finger sticks to obtain hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate new donors on the use of plasma-derived products after training.
• Register applicants and transfer donors as needed.
• Answer phones and route inquiries to staff as appropriate.
• Monitor donors for reactions during and after pheresis and alert staff as needed.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure sufficient supplies.
• Maintain donor confidentiality and be prepared to cross-train in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required at the organization's discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
