Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking staff to greet donors, verify eligibility, and guide them through registration for plasma collection. You will assist with screening procedures, health checks, and sample collection for basic tests as part of the donation process.

After training, you may educate donors on products from donated plasma and assist with donor questions. Roles may involve cross-training and potential bilingual duties per organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability.
• Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process per SOPs, including health history and basic medical questions.
• Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature; conduct finger stick for hematocrit and total protein levels.
• Educate donors on the use of therapeutic products derived from donated plasma after appropriate training.
• Register and transfer donors as needed based on training and center needs.
• Answer telephone inquiries or route calls to the appropriate staff member.
• Monitor donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notify the appropriate team member.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and bilingual skills may be required.
